How to Draw Cartoon Ballerinas
If you know how to draw shapes such as circles and ovals, then you can draw a cartoon ballerina. The best way to identify an individual as a ballerina in a cartoon is to give the character a dancing pose, a tutu and ballet shoes. Ballerinas are known for grace and flexibility, so it is important to show those skills when drawing your cartoon ballerina.

1
Draw a circle for the head and smaller circle for the right ear. The left ear is hidden in the perspective of this drawing. Draw an oval for the chin. It should intersect the bottom half of the large circle and the small circle of the ear. At the top of the oval, draw a downwards facing curve for the nose and a larger curve below it for the mouth. Add two downward facing curves equidistant from the nose to create the eyes. Draw an oval at the top of the head to begin the hair. This will be the bun of her hair-do. Draw a curve inside the circle from the top of the left side to the ear to create the line of her hair.

2
Draw a curved line from the neck towards the floor. The curve should direct towards the right side of her head. Imagine the curve is her spine. Draw a rounded rectangle for the body that follows the curved line. For the right shoulder, create a small circle. Create a slightly smaller circle a few centimeters to the right for the hand. Connect the two circles in the middle with a curved line. Draw five small ovals around the hand for the fingers. For the left arm, draw a curved line out from the left side of the body and connect it to a hand identical to the right hand.

Create two circles slightly larger than the shoulder circle at the base of the body. Draw an oval a few centimeters to the right of the right circle and another oval a few centimeters directly below the left circle. Connect both feet to the middle of the large circles with a curved line.

Add more detail to the drawing. Draw two lines from the outside of the shoulder and connect them to the palm of the hand to form an arm. Repeat this step on the left arm. Similar to the arms, draw in the legs with two curved lines on each leg. Draw a circle around the body with ridges in the shape of a "V" to form the tutu. Add a collar to the dress by drawing a "V" shape underneath the head. Close off the feet with a small curve that connects to each side of the leg. These curves form the ballet shoes.
