How do I Make a Bore Swab?

Firing a rifle, shotgun or handgun results in powder deposits and carbon buildup that you must remove from the barrel. Proper cleaning after use is essential to maintaining the appearance and working condition of the weapon. A bore swab is commonly part of the cleaning process. However, make an improvised swab by using basic firearm cleaning supplies when a traditional bore swab is not available.
