How to Save the Lighthouse on "Pokemon"

Saving the lighthouse is easy.

Pokemon Gold and Silver versions are the follow-up to the hit Pokemon versions Red and Blue. Gold and Silver introduce 100 new Pokemon to the game. The Gold and Silver versions follow a character the player names. To progress, the player must attain badges by defeating several Gym trainers. The trainer at the Olivine City Gym tends to the sick Pokemon that light the lighthouse. To face her, you must first help cure the animals.

Things You'll Need

• Potions
• Strong Pokemon
• A surfing Pokemon

Instructions

1. Enter the lighthouse on the ground floor. Climb to the second floor and defeat the two trainers there. Collect any items in the area.

2. Climb the stairs to the third floor. Defeat three trainers on this level. The third man in the alcove will give you Ether after you defeat him.

3. Climb to the fourth floor. There are two trainers to defeat. When you defeat the girl "lass Connie," go down the hole to her left. This leads to another stairway with lots of useful items. Defeat the trainers on the fifth floor and progress up to the sixth where you will find Gym Trainer Jasmine.

4. Jasmine is tending some sick Ampharos. These are the Pokemon who light the lamp in the lighthouse. She asks you to find some medicine for the Pokemon so she can return to her gym and relight the lighthouse. Climb down the lighthouse and walk to the water. Surf to Cianwood city to get medicine.

5. Go to the pharmacy at the bottom of the town. The man there will give you a free, secret potion. Surf back to the lighthouse. Climb back up to the sixth floor and give Jasmine the potion. This will heal the sick Pokemon, saving the lighthouse and making Jasmine available as a Gym Trainer again.
