How to Become a Mercenary in "Final Fantasy XI"
Mercenaries in "Final Fantasy XI" are players that perform specific missions or fight for other players in the game in exchange for money. You can become a mercenary in the game by joining the mercenary guild. Once you are in the guild, you can accept money in exchange for services in the game such as exterminating monsters, transporting goods or taking part in a war. You can join the mercenary guild by speaking with "Miah Riyuh," who is the leader of a mercenary group.

Go to Windurst Waters. This is a major area of the game which can be located via the world map feature.

Go to the northern part of the city to find Miah Riyuh.

Speak to her and ask about joining.

Accept her terms. She will give you a badge, granting you access to the guild and making you a mercenary. You can now speak with her about jobs that you can do.
