How to Level Up After Level 60 in "World of Warcraft"
When Blizzard Entertainment first released "World of Warcraft," players could only reach level 60. With the release of three expansions, the level cap is now 85. Two new continents and several zones provide areas for players to earn experience points to reach that level. Players can also use news quests, instances and battlegrounds, choosing their own preferred ways to level up their characters.
Things You'll Need

In "World of Warcraft," travel to any major city. Alliance characters need to go to Stormwind City, Ironforge, Darnassus or The Exodar. Horde players travel to Orgimmar, Thunder Bluff, The Undercity or Silvermoon City.

2
Click on a guard in the city. Ask where the Mage trainer is and walk to him. Near the Mage trainer, look for a purple-colored oval portal to the Blasted Lands. Click on the portal. Fly or walk through the large green gate once through the portal to travel to Hellfire Peninsula in Outland.

Accept quests in Hellfire Peninsula. Complete the quests. Some quests ask you to kill creators. Others require the gathering of items. Complete all of the quests in Hellfire, or until you no longer want to stay in the zone.
-
4
Fly to Zangarmarsh next to Hellfire Peninsula. Complete quests in that zone.
-
5
Fly to the Terokkar Forest and to Shattrah City. Complete the quests in the forest and city. If you do not want to earn levels in this area, fly past Shattrah and into Nagrand. Complete the quests in the Nagrand. Players who skin, mine or gather herbs will find that Nagrand is full of all these materials. With the large number of animals slain for the quests given out at Nesingwary's Safari, skinners can max out their level.
-
6
Travel North the Blade's Edge Mountains and complete the quests.
-
7
Return to a main city one you hit level 68. From the city, take a boat or zeppelin to the Borean Tundra or the Howling Fjord in Northrend. Complete the quests in either zone. From these zones, go to Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills and the Sholazer Basin. Players who enjoyed Nagrand or want to level up skinning, mining and herbalism quickly benefit from Sholazar Basin. Complete the quests. After you reach level 78, go to Icecrown and do the quests.
-
8
Travel to Stormwind or Orgimmar once you reach level 80. Alliance players should go east of Stormwind Keep. The portals are on the little island. Horde players go to Orgimmar to the portals on top of the Valley of Wisdom. Both player factions will see quests on the board in the main area of each city to unlock the portals. Complete the quests to unlock the portals. The quests consist of talking to various people in the city.
-
9
Click on the portal to Vashj'ir: Shimmering Expanse or Mount Hyjal. Complete the quests in either zone. Vashj'ir is an underwater zone that not all players will enjoy. Mount Hyjal is like other zones in the game. During the first sets of quests in Vashj'ir, you gain a seahorse mount to use in that zone.
-
10
Return to the portals in Stormwind City or Orgimmar once you complete all of the quests or reach 82. Complete the short quest line to open the portals to Deepholm or Uldum. Deepholm is like other zones. Uldum is based off of Egypt and the "Indiana Jones" movies.
