You can manage multiple email accounts with Thunderbird.

Thunderbird is an open-source desktop email client. It's produced by Mozilla, the creator of the popular Firefox web browser, and is a free alternative to Microsoft Outlook. Thunderbird helps you manage your email accounts in one central location. As with Firefox, you can install add-ons that enhance its abilities. These are downloaded to your computer as XPI files. If you originally downloaded an XPI file to your desktop but want to place it in Thunderbird's official folder in your Program Files folder, you can simply copy and paste it to the new location.

Instructions

    • 1

      Visit the Thunderbird add-ons website.

    • 2

Search for and locate the add-on you want to add to your Thunderbird. Enter a keyword in the search box in the upper right corner of the screen and press the "Enter" key on your keyboard.

    • 3

Click the green "Download Now" button next to the add-on. This opens a download window. Save the add-on's XPI file to your computer by pressing the "OK" button.

    • 4

Right-click the add-on's XPI file and select "Copy" in the menu that appears.

    • 5

Navigate to the new location on your computer where you want the XPI file to reside. Right-click an open space in the new location and select "Paste" in the menu that appears.
