How Can You Tell the Age or Turn Ons of Another Sim in "The Sims 2"?
With the introduction of "The Sims 2: Nightlife," turn-ons and turn-offs influenced relationships. Fortunately, through conversation, Sims can discover what another hates or loves. Deducing a Sims age relies on observation. Personal appearance indicates the stage of life, as Sims don't have numerical ages. College students (available through "The Sims 2: University") and teenagers appear smaller than adults. The elderly have gray hair, wrinkles and slouch. Social interactions also indicate age. An adult Sim cannot ask a teenager to date, for example.

Approach a Sim. Click on the Sim to greet him.

Click on the Sim you wish to get to know and talk. Continue talking to the Sim until more options appear in the social interaction menu that appears when you click on him.

Click "Ask" and then ask what the Sims turn-ons are. The answer pops up over the Sim's head. For example, if he is interested in money, a dollar sign will appear. Ask the Sim the question twice to find out both turn-ons. You can also ask his one turn-off. If this option appears, the Sim is a teenager, college student or adult. College students only appear on campuses or if someone invites them over to a house.
