How to Make Henna Liquid

How to Make Henna Liquid thumbnail
Henna is traditionally used to adorn the hands and feet of Indian brides.

Mehndi body art is traditionally used to temporarily tattoo the hands and feet of Indian brides, but has become popular in the West in recent years. While the henna used to dye hair should be a thick paste, the consistency of henna used for mehndi body art is much thinner. Henna for mehndi is squeezed through a plastic cone similar to the bags used to apply frosting to cakes. Making henna liquid is simple to do using henna powder and a few ingredients found in most kitchens.

  • 1/4 cup body art quality henna powder
  • Plastic bowl
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
