How to Draw a Husky Puppy Step by Step
Husky puppies are some of the cutest, cuddliest dogs, that grow into being majestic, strong sled dogs. Their Siberian heritage makes them best for colder climates and areas as they can withstand temperatures 75 degrees below zero. Siberian Huskies have remarkable cream and steel coloring, plush fur and often light blue eyes. If you're a fan of this breed, drawing a Siberian Husky pup will be an empowering endeavor.

1
Draw a small oval, horizontally on your sketch pad. This will be the body of your husky. Draw a perfect circle, approximately half the size of your oval, on the northeast end of your oval. This will be the head of the pup.
-
2
Draw two soft, small triangles with slightly curved points at the top of this circle. These will be the ears. The ears of a husky are always erect. On the southeast end of the circle, draw a small circle, which will be the snout. Draw an even smaller circle inside this circle. This will be the nose.
-
-
3
Draw a slightly left angled vertical line out of the top of the circle that will be the dog's snout. This line will instantly create depth and the sense that the snout is coming out of the face. On either side of this line, draw two small circles for eyes.
-
4
Draw the small circles within the eyes for the dog's pupils. Since huskies generally have blue eyes, don't add a lot of tone to the surrounding eye area in the irises.
-
5
Draw four chubby legs coming out of the main oval, two at the left end of the oval, and two at the right end. Make these legs overlap each other slightly, and make them only slightly longer than the height of the oval.
-
6
Go over all your lines, smoothing and shading them. Erase all guiding lines. Add details like color in the nose of the pup black and add the paws and small claws. Consult your picture.
-
7
Outline the areas of the face that change from light to dark, such as at the top of the head and the ears, and the fur on the back and around the breast and stomach. However, keep the breast and stomach white.
-
8
Add the long fur to the husky by making tick marks all around the outlined areas, such as around the forehead, ears, back and the sides of the stomach. The tick marks will help represent the dog's darker fur and create depth and texture.
-
9
Draw a long curved tail that curls up over the back of the husky. Huskies generally have tails that curl up over their backs. Make cross directional strokes over the tail shape to make it look round. Blend these same pencil markings and to create thickness.
