How to Troubleshoot a Floppy FDD
Though floppy disk drives are rarely installed in new computers, being replaced by USB pen drives and CD/DVD trays, they are still found in older systems and server-based systems. You can run software diagnostics utilities to troubleshoot a floppy disk drive in a Windows environment. The utilities not only fix the hardware but also the disks themselves.
