How to Install a TV Glare Guard on a Sony Big Screen

TV glare guards are made in a variety of sizes to fit different television screens, including Sony big-screen sets. The glare guard helps you view television normally, even on a rear-projection TV, when direct light shines on the screen. This prevents a washed-out image on the screen so you won't miss the big play in the last five minutes of a ball game or the climactic scene in a film. Instructions

1. Measure the Sony TV screen diagonally from one corner to the other, for example, 50 inches. This is the measurement you need to buy the correct size TV glare guard.

2. Wipe the Sony screen clean with a lint-free cloth before installing the glare guard.

3. Hold the left and right edges of the glare guard with your open palms to avoid getting fingerprints on the material. The wide lip at the top of the glare guard should be facing away from you.

4. Slide the entire lip over the top of the Sony TV.

5. Flex the glare guard gently to fit the lower edge under the TV.
