How to Get to the Final Armageddon Blade
The Armageddon Blade is the final weapon that War finds in "Darksiders." It is the only weapon powerful enough to defeat the Destroyer, the ruler of Hell. War must find all seven pieces of the Armageddon Blade before Ulthane can reforge it. All of the pieces are located in areas you have already passed through. You cannot acquire the pieces in earlier stages of the game because they are invisible without the Mask of Shadows. War does not find the Mask of Shadows until right before fighting Shadow War in Eden.
Instructions

1
Go to Leviathan's Drift after getting the Mask of Shadows. A bridge appears now that you have the Mask of Shadows equipped. Cross it to get the first piece of the Armageddon Blade.
-
2
Go to the Dry Roads by talking to Vulgrim. Climb the demonic growth, the vinelike covering that appears on the walls and ceilings throughout the game, located outside the tunnel you exit. You encounter Uriel, a boss that appears earlier in "Darksiders," after you reach the top.
-
-
3
Defeat Uriel. She is a little tougher than the first time you fought her. Although her attacks follow a different pattern and are a bit more powerful, use the same overall strategy. Dodge her attacks and attack while she recovers. Do not take unnecessary risks against her. If you do not think you have time to attack her before she recovers, skip attacking her until after her next attack. She is not overly difficult, but she can do a lot of damage if you are reckless.
-
4
Go behind the ruins to your right after defeating Uriel to find the second piece.
-
5
Go to the Broken Stair. The third piece is located on top of the same building you found Ortho, the Angelic Beast.
-
6
Go to the Choking Grounds. Fall through the hole in the ground next to the exit to the Broken Stair. Follow the path until you enter a room. To your left is a Shadowflight geyser, which allows you to go higher when using your Shadowflight ability. Climb the demonic growth until you reach a hole in the ceiling. Use the Shadowflight geyser to reach the roof. You cannot see this geyser without the Mask of Shadows equipped. The fourth piece is located on the roof.
-
7
Go to the Crossroads by talking to Vulgrim. You will see three Shadowflight geysers if you have the Mask of Shadows equipped. The first is southwest of your starting point. Use the first Shadowflight geyser to reach the platform. Equip the Abyssal Chain if you are not already using it. Use the second Shadowflight geyser to get high enough to reach the chain grapple point. Use the grapple point to swing yourself onto a building. Use the third Shadowflight geyser to reach the balcony. The fifth piece is located here.
-
8
Go to the Drowned Pass by talking to Vulgrim. You can see the Armageddon Blade piece from the starting point on top of a building. Climb up the stairs of the farther building. Use the chain grapple point to get to the roof where the sixth piece is located. This grapple point is not visible without the Mask of Shadows equipped.
-
9
Go to the Ashlands by talking to Vulgrim. Go right when you exit the tunnel. Climb the ledges in front of you. Go left at the fork you see on top of the ledges. You run into a cluster of Red Rocks blocking the path. A Bomb Plant is visible next to it if you have the Mask of Shadows equipped. Throw a bomb from the plant at the Red Rocks with the Abyssal Chain. Light the fuse by throwing the Crossblade at the bomb. This allows you to continue down the path to get the seventh piece.
-
10
Talk to Ulthane in Anvil's Ford. You receive the Armageddon Blade after the cutscene.

Tips & Warnings
You can get the Armageddon Blade pieces in any order. You must have access to all of these locations before getting the Mask of Shadows. It is impossible to get the pieces without this item equipped, so going to any of these locations earlier on does not allow you to get the pieces.
The Battle Hardened Xbox 360 achievement and PlayStation 3 trophy might become unattainable when the Armageddon Blade is acquired. Battle Hardened is unlocked when you completely upgrade every weapon and combat move. Chaoseater cannot be further upgraded after the Armageddon Blade replaces it. You must have upgraded Chaoseater to level four before getting the Armageddon Blade to get Battle Hardened.
The Armageddon Blade replaces Chaoseater once War acquires it. Unlike War's other weapons, you cannot equip it with weapon enhancements to augment its abilities.
