Determine what time it is in the Czech Republic. It's 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, which means it is 6 hours later in the Czech Republic than it is on the East Coast of the United States, and 9 hours later than it is on the West Coast.

Dial 011, the international access code.

Dial 420, the Czech Republic's country code.

Step 4
Remove the 0 from the beginning of the city code. Some codes for major cities in the Czech Republic include 02 for Prague, 05 for Brno and 038 for Ceske Budejovice.

Dial the remaining digits.

on 11/22/2005 When you are calling to the Czech Republic you have to first dial 011 then 420 and then the number of the person you are calling. In the Czech Republic all phone numbers are 9 digits long, including toll-free lines and cell phones. For example, a whole called number would look like this: 011 420 123456789
