How to Hide a Facebook Album

Keep a photo album private on your Facebook profile.

Although a Facebook profile provides a convenient platform to share photos with friends, you can also store private photos on the site for your personal viewing. Facebook includes a privacy option that allows you to hide albums, making them invisible to everyone except you. The feature comes in handy if you want to back up your precious shots without making them public. Use Facebook's built-in tools to keep an album off the radar.

Instructions

1. Log into Facebook and click "Profile" in the top-right corner of the page. Your profile page opens.

2. Click "Photos" from the left panel of your profile. Your albums appear.

3. Click an album you want to hide. The album's photos appear.

4. Click "Edit Album" above the photos. A pop-up box opens.

5. Click the "Privacy" box and click "Custom." New options appear.

6. Click the drop-down box in the "Make this visible to" section and click "Only Me."

7. Click "Save Settings."
