How to Make Ribbon Eggs
You might have enjoyed dying Easter eggs in preparation for an Easter morning egg hunt as a child. Running around the backyard hunting for colorfully dyed eggs may no longer excite you, but you can still enjoy an afternoon of egg decorating in preparation for Easter by creating ribbon eggs. Use your completed eggs as part of a centerpiece for Easter dinner, as ornaments, or as someting to hide around your home or yard for your children or grandchildren to find.

1
Place the end of the ribbon on bottom of the egg. Secure in place with a flat-head pin. Leave the ribbon attached to the spool.
-
2
Draw a thin line of craft glue around the egg from bottom to top. Flatten the line of glue with the nozzle of the glue bottle.

3
Wrap the ribbon around the egg following the glue line. Keep wrapping the ribbon around the egg working clockwise until the ribbon completely covers the egg. Glue each wrap, and overlap the wraps by half the ribbon's width.

4
Cut the ribbon when the last wrap reaches the bottom of the egg. Secure the end of the ribbon with a second flat-head pin.
