How to Draw Boo From "Monsters, Inc."

Boo from the Pixar/Disney film "Monsters, Inc." is one of the major characters. The movie "Monsters, Inc." focuses on a pack of monsters who think children are both evil and dangerous. Their world gets turned upside down when little Boo wanders into their world and teaches them that children can be wonderful, while she learns that monsters are not all that bad. Boo is a little girl, so drawing her does not take too much special skill.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw a circle where you would like Boo's head to go.

    • 2

Make a horizontal line about one fourth of the way down her face for her bangs. Draw her eyes a tad bit underneath her bangs with two ovals. Boo's eyes are large, so make sure the eyes take up at least half of the remainder of her face. Fill in large circles for her irises and put eyelashes on top of the eyes. Sketch in some eyebrows above the eyes.

    • 3

Fill in her bangs by drawing a few vertical lines that stop at the horizontal line you drew. Use your pencil to shade in her bangs. Then erase the horizontal line.

    • 4

Sketch her nose by drawing a long U shape directly in between her eyes but a little bit below them. Add a small shaded line in the middle of the U shape, just above it, to give the nose some depth.

    • 5

Draw her mouth with a straight line across the top and then a U connected to the straight line underneath. You may fill in teeth with some rectangles that are longer than they are wide.

    • 6

Draw ponytail holders as two small circles on either side of her head. Make her pigtails by drawing lines that begin with the ponytail holders and then move outward.

    • 7

Make her neck with two parallel lines underneath her chin. Draw a rectangle that is longer than it is wide (just a little wider than her head) underneath the neck.

    • 8

Draw her arms by making two parallel lines from the top of either side of the rectangle. Connect the lines by drawing a hand, first by making a thumb with a small loop, and then four fingers, moving your pencil up and then down in loops.

    • 9

Erase the tops of the rectangle and smooth them out to connect to her head and shoulders. Make sleeves by drawing a line a little bit away from her shoulders.

    • 10

Make legs by drawing two parallel lines on either side of the rectangle. Draw circles for the feet underneath the lines. Make a line a little bit above the feet for socks and a line a little above that one to delineate the leggings.

    • 11

Erase any lines that make the character's body not appear fluid.

    • 12

Color Boo in. Her shirt and ponytail holders should be pink, her pants should be purple, her eyes and hair are brown, and her socks and shoes are white.
