How to Make E-Z Seal Envelope Moisteners
When you have a large number of envelopes, the task of sealing them all without any type of aid can seem daunting. An envelope moistener saves you from having to lick seal after seal, tasting unpleasant glue along the way. You can create your own moistener that allows you to easily seal the envelopes, saving you from having to purchase one from the store.

1
Remove the lid from a narrow bottle, such as an old medicine bottle or glass baby food jar. Clean the inside so that it's free of any residue.
-
2
Roll a piece of felt that's thick enough to fit through the top of the jar, stopping up the end and serving as a wick for the moisture. The felt should be tall enough to touch the bottom of the jar and extend approximately ½ inch outside the top.

3
Fill the jar 1/3 of the way full of water. Stuff the felt wick into place and allow it to absorb the moisture. Tilt the jar so the wick faces downward to aid in absorption.
-
4
Hold the jar upside-down and run the felt wick over the envelop seal to moisten.
