How to Embed an RSS Feed Into Gmail Automatically thumbnail
Gmail displays RSS streams above your inbox by default.

RSS (or Really Simple Syndication) feeds are text-based Web feeds that you can subscribe to and view through an RSS reader application. Google's Gmail Internet mail application includes a built in RSS reader called "Web Clips" that appears above your Gmail inbox. If you want to set an RSS feed to open automatically in the Web Clips window then you can add the feed to Web Clips in the Gmail settings window.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to gmail.com and sign in with your user name and password.

    • 2

Click the gear icon in the upper-right of the browser window and click "Mail Settings."

    • 3

Click the "Web Clips" tab in the settings menu.

    • 4

Type the URL of the RSS feed that you'd like to embed into the "Search by topic or URL" field.

    • 5

Click the "Search" button. Gmail will search for the specified RSS feed.

    • 6

Click "Add" to embed the RSS feed into Gmail's Web Clips. The RSS feed will automatically appear in the Web Clips box located above your Gmail inbox.
