You can insert currency symbols or glyphs in your InDesign documents.

InDesign is a desktop publishing and digital media creation program from Adobe. It uses a glyph for special characters, including accent marks in non-English languages, such as the umlaut for some German vowels, and the symbols for certain currencies like the yen and the euro. Glyphs are divided into categories in InDesign, including numbers, symbols, math symbols, the Greek and Cyrillic alphabets and currency. The glyphs you can insert into a document are based on the symbols available in the font you're using.
