How to Draw a Pit Bull's Face

Draw a circle to form the guideline for the head. This should be done lightly in pencil. You will erase it after you've drawn additional lines to shape the head.

Draw a vertical line running from the top left of the circle (your left) to the lower right of the circle. This will help you set the angle you'll draw the features and will act as a guide for placing the features as well.

Draw two vertical lines just above center of the circle you drew, spaced so you can draw your pit bull's eyes between these lines. Add the eyes at this point, drawing two small circles, one on each end of the two lines you drew. Be sure the eyes are between the lines. You can erase these lines afterward.

Draw lines to form the pit bull's head. Begin a line just outside the circle you drew and bring the line just past the bottom of the circle. Switch directions, taking the line to the left edge of the paper (your left). This line should be vertical. Curve it slightly to bring it up the opposite side of the circle toward the top of the pit bull's head.

Draw two points above the circle for ears and a curved line between them to connect them. The curved line is the top of the pit bull's head.

Draw the front of the snout, at the end of the guideline you drew. The end of the snout should have a triangular look. Add a smaller triangle within this larger triangle to create the nose. Erase the guidelines you drew earlier.

Shade along the length of the snout to give it some definition and create the illusion that the snout is lifting away from the pit bull's face. Add shading beneath the eyes to give them depth, then color in the eyes.
