How to Ask a Guy for a Favor
At some point in your life you will need to ask someone for a favor, whether it's at your workplace, at home or in a social setting. Depending on the favor and the person to whom you're making the request, it can be difficult to find the right words to express what you need, even if you're asking a close friend. If you need a guy to help you out with something, there are ways to approach him that will help you ask for that favor.

1
Find the right guy to ask for a favor. In order for him to be able to do the favor, the guy must have the capability to fulfill your request. For example, if need someone to house sit for a month, don't select a guy who has a wife and kids and can't possibly leave them to do you the favor.

2
Find the right place to ask him. Even if it's a small favor, try to find a place that has some privacy so he's not distracted. This is especially important if you're asking for a favor that you don't want anyone else to overhear, such as asking for a loan.

Use specific words to set the table so that he knows you're in need. Words such as "I really need a favor from you," or "I'm in trouble, can you please do me a favor," gives him the chance to understand that he can be of help, without it being a command or a given that he will agree.

4
Ask for the favor in a clear manner that expresses what you need, the reason you need it, and more importantly, the parameters of the favor. For example, if you're asking him to take you to the airport, be specific as to the day, the time and when you need him to arrive so you have enough time for airport check-in procedures. If you're asking for a loan, say the amount, the reason you need the money and when you reasonably expect to repay it.

5
Ask for the favor in such a way that you give him the chance to decline. Make it clear that you completely understand if he can't do you the favor. If you don't give him that option, the favor becomes a demand, and he may feel as if it's something he has to do instead of something he wants to do. By it's very nature, a favor requires him to go out of their way for you, and there will be occasions when it's just not possible for him to do it.
