How to Use Tags on LinkedIn

LinkedIn tags provide a way for you to sort out your business contacts by using specific tags for each user or group of users. You can sort through these tags to find certain connections, or as a way to keep things sorted in your profile. Your LinkedIn profile supports 200 different tags, so you can specify many different groups of users.

Instructions

      Open your Internet browser and login to LinkedIn.com.

      Click "Contacts."

      Click "Manage" next to the tags section under "All Connections."

      Type the tag name into the empty tagging box and click "Add New Tag" with each new tag you create.

      Click "Finished" to close the tag window once you are through adding tags.

      Click "All Connections."

    • 7

      Select a connection's profile from this list.

      Click "Edit tags." and put a check mark next to each tag you want to assign to that connection.

      Click "Save" once you have finished adding tags to your connections.

      Select your tags in the drop down menu on the contact pages.
