How to Earn Shells in "Hatchlings"
"Hatchlings" is one of the many games provided by Facebook. It is basically an online Easter egg hunt, where members search for eggs throughout all the Facebook pages and see how many eggs they collect in a year's time. Shells are the currency you use to purchase the gifts the game offers. There are a number of ways that to earn shells once you activate the application and join the game.

Click on the green "The Warehouse" button at the top right hand end of the screen on the "Hatchlings" page. Click on the green "Earn More Shells" button in the center of the next page to start earning shells.

Visit the "Warehouse" each day to earn extra bonus shells. The "Daily Bonus" message will give you a link to click on and claim your daily bonus.

Purchase shells using your Paypal account, credit card or other form of payment. You earn at least one shell for every penny spent at a $5 -- 500 shells -- minimum, but can earn more than that rate for higher purchases.

Complete one of the surveys the game offers from one of its partners to earn shells. The links to the surveys are directly below the "Use Paypal to Buy Shells" pane.

Click on the red "Bonus Shells" button to earn more shells direct from the game. The button is near the bottom of the "Hatchling's" page. This is only possible if you have upgraded to Facebook's newest page format.
