How to Make an Ironette Costume

"Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2" were well-known movies that were released in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Because of the renewed interest in the comic book hero, many are seeking Iron Man and Ironette costumes for parties or Halloween. Ironette is simply a female version of the original Iron Man. While the Ironette costume looks complicated, with the right supplies it can be made at home.

Red mini skirt
Red tank top
Yellow sparkly ribbon
Silver sparkly ribbon
Clear sunglasses
Red felt
Fabric glue

Instructions

  Use the silver ribbon to create an upside down triangle in the middle of the chest on the tank top. Attach the ribbon using glue or safety pins.

  Put yellow ribbon all the way around the red tank top at the very bottom, creating what looks like a belt. Glue the ribbon to the tank top or attach with safety pins. It should be one straight yellow line around the bottom of the tank top.

  Create wrist cuffs. Measure the circumference of your wrist and cut the felt that many inches long and 5 inches wide.

  Put yellow ribbon around the area of the red felt that will be closest to your elbow. Attach the ribbon with glue or safety pins. Velcro, with adhesive backing, can be attached to either end of the wrist cuff so it will stay around your wrist.

  Put on the red tank top, red mini skirt, red boots and clear glasses.
