The default software keyboard that appears on Android screens can be difficult to navigate, especially if you have eyesight issues, large hands or mobility challenges. Although Android does not have a native feature to magnify the keyboard, several third-party apps can help you make the keyboard larger, such as Big Buttons Keyboard Standard, Big Keyboard and ThickButtons.

Big Buttons Keyboard Standard

Step 1

Download and install the free Big Buttons Keyboard Standard app from Google Play (link in Resources).

Step 2

Launch the app, tap "Language and Input," check off the application name, and then press "Back." This gives the app permission to be used as an input source.

Step 3

Tap "Select Input Method," check off the application name once again and tap "Back."
