Email newsletters are an easy way to communicate with customers or clients.

Email newsletters are a great way to communicate internally and externally. They are perfect for getting information out to people inside your organization, such as important employee events and what's new with the organization; and email newsletters are also a great tool to send out externally to clients or customers to promote your business or services. Email newsletters can also be used to promote yourself to a potential employer, or to keep in touch with family and friends.

Instructions

    • 1

Download Microsoft word at www.Microsoft.com or use other word processing software. Microsoft Word is a simple layout for a beginning newsletter designer. When you're starting to design newsletters, it's best to choose a template that is simple, yet informative for your target audience.

    • 2

Download newsletter templates by visiting office.Microsoft.com for free Microsoft Word templates. Browse the templates and choose the one that is right for the purpose of your newsletter, keeping in mind your target audience. Once you have selected the newsletter template you desire, download the template onto your computer.

    • 3

Open the template. Replace the text by highlighting and deleting, then insert your own.

    • 4

Replace the images in your newsletter by selecting "Insert" in the toolbar, then selecting "Photo". You can then select the images you want to put in your newsletter.

    • 5

Proof the newsletter for any mistakes, once you have uploaded your text and photos. It's always a good idea to have a second pair of eyes look over the newsletter as well; spelling mistakes can lead readers to believe you are not professional or thorough.

    • 6

Save your newsletter. Once your newsletter is perfected, select "File" in the toolbar, and "Save As". Name your newsletter so you are able to distinguish it from other files and choose format PDF, since most of your viewers will have the ability to open PDF documents.

    • 7

Send your newsletter. Select a relevant time to send the newsletter and send to your intended audience. Again, keep your target audience in mind, and consider when the best time to reach them would be. It's better to send to more people, than less.

Tips & Warnings
