How to Make a Gospel Bracelet

Gospel bracelets are also commonly referred to as wordless bracelets, or salvation bracelets. These bracelets are designed to give children and adults a way to explain the Gospel's message of salvation. One color is assigned to each stage of the Christian's life. Witnesses can hand the bracelet to a nonbeliever and go through each color as they explain the need for Christ, how to become saved and how to grow in the faith.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut a piece of suede leather lace that is 15 inches long. If you can't eyeball it, use a ruler or a measuring tape.

    • 2

Tie a knot about 6 inches from one end.

    • 3

Slide a black bead through the leather strand and stop when it reaches the knot. Black represents sin.

    • 4

Thread the red bead through the leather next and stop when it reaches the black bead. Red represents Jesus' blood shed on the cross.

    • 5

Place a white bead on your bracelet so that it's touching the red bead. The white bead represents the Christian belief that Jesus' blood washes away sins so that believers are as pure as snow.

    • 6

Slide the yellow bead on the bracelet next until it touches the white bead. Yellow represents the Christian belief that Jesus is the son of God.

    • 7

Thread the green bead in last so that it is next to the yellow bead. The green bead represents growth. As believers begin to study God's Word and get to know him better, they grow in faith.

    • 8

Tie a knot up against the green bead so that none of the beads will fall off.

    • 9

Tie around the wrist of the individual you give it to.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some believers are of the philosophy that you must be baptized after you are saved and thus they add a blue bead after the white bead to represent water.
