How Do I Play a Movie Made in Windows Movie Maker Through Windows Live Movie Maker?

Windows Live Movie Maker is a video-editing program available on Windows 7. The previous version, called Windows Movie Maker, was available on Windows ME through Vista operating systems. Movie Maker provides you with the tools to create polished movies using video clips and photos. If you have previously created movies using Windows Movie Maker and saved the file on your computer, you can play the video in its entirety even if you have upgraded to Windows Live Movie Maker.

Tips & Warnings

  • The unfinished movie files used to create a movie in Windows Movie Maker will not play in Windows Live Movie Maker; you need to finish the movie first and export it in MPEG or WMV format. Then, you can import the video and play it in Windows Live Movie Maker.
