Instructions

    • 1

Lay the hand towel on the table in front of you with the stripes running horizontally. Fold the bottom edge up 1/3 of the way toward the top edge. Fold the top edge down to where the bottom fold is located. You now have a thin rectangle made of three layers.

    • 2

Begin at one end of the folded towel and roll it tightly toward the other end. Slip a rubber band around the finished roll toward one edge to hold it secure.

    • 3

Stand the roll on end with the swirl on top, like a cinnamon roll. Make sure the end with the rubber band is the one closest to the table.

    • 4

Grasp the center of the roll and pull it up gently. The center will rise, bringing the rest of the towel along with it. Pull until the entire towel roll is elevated up toward the center in a cone shape. Push the center back down to round off the top of the cone.

    • 5

Unwrap a red lollipop. Slide the stick into the center of the towel roll to represent the cherry on top of the sundae.

    • 6

Slip a decorative cupcake paper into the center of a sundae cup. Set the rolled towel sundae into the cup. The cupcake paper will hide the rubber band and set off the ice cream look.

Tips & Warnings

  • Change up the color of the towel stripes to make a strawberry, blueberry or cotton candy sundae.
