How to Cut a Pea Pod Shape
If you want to create an invitation or a greeting card using a pea pod as the theme image, you can use a free, printable template to make your pea pod. You then can customize the pea pod by printing it with different colors of card stock and embellishing it with buttons. This is a cute, creative craft for a baby shower or garden party.
Things You'll Need
- Card stock (8 1/2 by 11 inches)
- Printer
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Craft glue
- Small sewing buttons (3/8 inches)

Print a free template of a pea pod from a website such as Danielle's Place, Edu Pics or Clker.com. Print the template on three different sheets of card stock in different shades of green.

Cut out the dark green pea pod along the lines of the pea pod. This is your pea pod base.

Cut out the peas from the two lighter shades of card stock. Cut around the circles, following the lines of the circle.

Swipe the back of the paper peas with a glue stick, and place the peas on the pea pod base.

Squeeze white craft glue on the peas, and place colored buttons on top. Allow your pea pod to dry. Glue it to the front an invitation.
