How to Send a DM on Buzz
Google Buzz allows you to communicate with all of your Google contacts in one place with real-time status updates. Post information, comments, photos and other media to share with your friends and other followers. Integrated privacy settings let you select who can see each post, allowing you to communicate privately with a friend without creating separate emails.

Load your Google Buzz homepage. Click the message box to create a new message. Type your message in the text box, starting with the "@" symbol followed by your friends' name, without a space.

Click the "Public on the Web" box beside the "Submit" button. Click "Private" then click "Create New Group." Select the friend that you want to send a direct message to.

Click "Post" to submit your message. It will only be visible to the friend you selected, sent as a direct message.
