How to Make Raptor Claws for Kids
A raptor is a type of bird that hunts and kills its prey using its claws. Some examples of raptors include owls and hawks. These birds of prey usually have keen and highly developed senses, especially sight. Raptors also have very strong talons or claws, which they use to effectively catch their prey. Test your own hunting skills by crafting your own raptor-inspired origami claws.

Set a piece of paper down, height-wise. Take the top left corner and fold to the right edge of the paper to make a perfect right triangle. Crease.

2
Fold the sharp right corner to the bottom right corner. Crease. Fold the left edge in a few inches, so you have a square shape.

-
3
Fold the bottom left corner to the top right corner. Crease. You should have a right triangle.
-
4
Fold the triangle in half. Unfold. Fold the right edge of the triangle so it is lined up with the middle crease. Repeat fold with left edge.
-
5
Turn the paper over, and fold in the overhang. Fold the triangle in half, lengthwise. Tape sides together. You should be able to stick your finger comfortably through the opening.

6
Cut a small hook shape from the foam board. Color black and glue to the pointed end to make the nail. Repeat all steps to create multiple claws.
