How to Make Your Own Quartz Necklaces

Quartz can be purchased at stores that carry rocks and crystals, and you may be able to buy raw quartz at bead stores as well. Creating a Quartz Necklace
-
1
Choose a piece of quartz that you either find or purchase that will give you the look that are you are going for. For a shiny polished look, use raw quartz or use a polished pieced for a fancier more finished look.
-
2
Put on safety goggles and then secure your piece of quartz in a small vise. Tighten the vise to the point that the quartz is secure but not crushed or broken.
-
-
3
Use the drill to carefully and slowly make a hole in the quartz that will fit the type of chain or cord that you plan to use for the necklace. Use a piece of quartz that will accommodate the hole without shattering the quartz.
-
4
Loop your chosen chain or cord through the hole in the quartz and attach a clasp. If you are using leather material, it can be tied without a clasp if you choose.
