How to Get Your Songs Back on Your iPod Touch
It is not uncommon for your iPod Touch to lose its music library after a faulty sync or a new firmware installation. By missing the instructions in a dialog box or forgetting to configure a sync properly, the iPod Touch will erase its media library. To reload the music library to your iPod Touch, you first must configure iTunes to allow you to manually manage music and videos. Once configured accordingly, returning the music to your iPod Touch is simple and doesn't require a full sync.
