How to Install "BioShock" for PS3

You will have to install the game's numerous patches before you can play "Bioshock" on the PS3.

"Bioshock" is an action-adventure game for the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 where users explore the underwater city of Rapture. Bioshock, like many games for the PS3, requires you to install a mandatory patch before you can actually play the game. The process may seem more complicated than it really is if you have never played a game that requires a mandatory install before playing.

Instructions

1. Insert the "Bioshock" disc into your PlayStation 3. The PlayStation 3's menu will display.

2. Boot the game by navigating to the "Game" column and pressing "X" on the "Bioshock" icon. The game will automatically recognize that the patch has not been installed. It will then begin preparing the patch for installation.

3. Press "X" to install the PS3 patch for "Bioshock." The patch will take around ten minutes to install.
