How to Color Over Dark Ink in Manga
Color over dark ink in manga drawings to correct mistakes, adjust drawings or add effect. White correction fluid or solid white paint are common tools applied by manga artists to correct or enhance their drawings. Adding white over dark ink is easier and provides more control for the artist than working in the reverse order, unless the black is only to produce fine lines over the white. With practice, drawings will soon resemble those of famous manga artists.

1
Let the dark ink dry completely before adding white. If the dark ink is even slightly moist it can cause the white to run or blur with the black, resulting in the horrible destruction of your drawing.

2
Apply white correction fluid with the included application brush using a single, smooth stroke. If the correction fluid is correcting line mistakes in the drawing, keep the application brush just along the edge of the good lines, passing over the mistake and applying even pressure to the application brush to avoid accidentally crossing the good lines. If the mistake is in the middle of the drawing, such as an eye drawn poorly, apply the correcting fluid in a smooth even stroke over the area, but avoid making the corrected area too thick with the white fluid.

Use a small brush or other tool to apply white paint for effect.Thin, smooth tapering lines adding to dark hair for highlighting and details, lines to clothing or adding reflection in the eyes are all excellent uses of white over dark ink. Keep the white as thin as possible without sacrificing the effect, and allow the white to dry completely before doing more with the drawings.
