How to Track Western Union Pick-Ups

You can check the status of your Western Union pick up online.

Western Union allows customers to wire funds to the bank accounts of others. The wire process takes only a few minutes and the funds are immediately available for use by the recipient of the funds. Once your wire funds with Western Union you can track the funds by using the Western Union website. Certain transfers take longer than others to send, which means you might not be able to find information regarding your transfer immediately.

Instructions

1. Go to the Western Union website and click on the "Track a Transfer" link at the top of the page.

2. Enter your Money Transfer Control Number---which is given to you at the time you make your transfer---and the first and last names of the sender and click "Check Status." If you do not have the Money Transfer Control Number you can skip that section of the search page and scroll down to the section that allows you to enter the first and last names of the sender and the recipient to search for the wire transfer that way. Click "Check Status."

3. View the results of your transfer. If no information appears you should check to ensure you entered and spelled the names of the sender and/or recipient and the Money Transfer Control Number correctly.
