How to Get Rally Sponsors
There are dozens of types of rallies happening all over the country right now -- political rallies, motorsport rallies, bike rallies. If you want to join one, you're sure to find something to fit your interests or skills. However, this does not necessarily mean that you can afford to participate in the rally. In this case, you should write a sponsorship proposal and approach people you know, as well as local businesspeople, to sponsor you for the rally.

1
Make a list of people and places you can approach as potential sponsors. The list should include people you know who may be able to contribute to your sponsorship and businesses that would benefit from exposure at the rally. For example, a local bike shop would benefit from exposure and advertisement at a bike rally.

2
Outline your proposal. When approaching potential sponsors, you will supply them with a sponsorship proposal. The proposal will include details about you, the rally, why you want to participate and what you can offer the business.

3
Write your proposal. Once the proposal is outlined, fill in all the details. Start with a formal letter requesting sponsorship for the rally. Then, explain more about yourself and the event. For example, the rally might be donating funds to a worthy cause. Finally, explain in detail how you can help the businesses you're asking to be your sponsors, such as wearing a jacket or T-shirt with their logo on it, or passing out free samples or promotional materials.
-
4
Send out your proposals. Once you write the proposal, start sending it to people you know and local businesses that are relevant to the type of rally in which you want to participate.
-
5
Follow up with your proposals. After you send out the sponsorship proposals, call the people and businesses directly. Ask if they received the proposals and see what you need to do to get them to sponsor you. This initiative can really pay off when it comes to getting sponsors.
