You can record voices with QuickTime on your MacBook.

When you are working with your MacBook, the laptop from Apple, you might need to record people's voices. For example, you have an idea that you want to say out loud instead of typing it because you are a slow typist, or you want to record a conversation. The MacBook has a built-in microphone, and it comes with the free QuickTime application already installed, which you can easily use to record voices.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "QuickTime" in the Dock on your MacBook to launch the application.

    • 2

Click "File," and then click "New Audio Recording." The audio recording window appears.

Click the red button in the audio recording window to start recording people's voices through the MacBook's built-in microphone. The microphone is located above the "Esc" key on the keyboard. As you record audio, the elapsed recording time appears in the recording window.

Click "File" from the QuickTime application menu, then click "Save As," and then type a name for the voice recording.
