How to Create a New Civilization in Sid Meier's "Civilization 4"

"Civilization IV," the fourth generation of Sid Meier's Civilization games, is a simulator where you create a civilization based on a set of historical tribes/nations, starting from a small village. The goal is to build your civilization into a massive powerhouse and accomplish a number of goals, such as being the first to reach another planet or dominating all other civilizations in military tactics. Your new civilization survives (or dies) based on your decisions.

Instructions

1. Insert the Civilization 4 CD into your PC's CD drive. Skip this step if you directly downloaded Civilization 4 from the Internet.

2. Click "Start" then type "Civilization 4" in the text box that appears. Click the icon in the programs list to start the game.

3. Click "Single Player" at Civilization 4's main menu.

4. Click the type of map you want to set your civilization on.

5. Click on whether you want a low, moderate or high sea level at the "Sea Level" menu.

6. Click the game speed and difficulty you want for the civilization game.

7. Click the civilization and leader whose abilities you want to create your new civilization.
