How Can I Block Facebook Intrusions Into My Email?

Facebook lets users interact with each other on multiple platforms, including email, SMS (text messaging), mobile applications and the Facebook website itself. Whenever someone interacts with you by posting to your Wall, messaging you or commenting on something you posted, Facebook notifies you by email. All of this email can add up fast and quickly take over your inbox. Fortunately, you can adjust or eliminate these emails by visiting the Account Settings page while logged in to your Facebook account.
