How to Permanently Erase Your Picture From Facebook

Profile pictures are images displayed in your main Facebook profile. The profile picture is shown when friends and family search for your profile to add you as a friend, and it is shown on your Wall. To delete this picture, log in to your account and use the deletion feature available in the settings.

Instructions

1. Open a Web browser and navigate to the Facebook home page. Type your email name and password in the login text boxes to log in to your account.

2. Click "Profile" in the upper-right corner of any Facebook page. Click the "Photos" link under your profile image. Click "Profile Pictures." A list of your profile pictures displays.

3. Click the image you want to delete. A window opens, displaying your profile image. Click the link in the bottom-left corner labeled "Delete this photo." Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to delete the image.
