How to Make Google Reader the Default RSS

You can't change the default feed reader in Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome doesn't include feed support; however, Mozilla Firefox does allow you to select your own feed reader. For example, you can select one of Firefox's provided Web applications -- such as Google, Bloglines or My Yahoo! by default -- but there's no way to add a custom Web application. The default "Google" option goes to a page that asks whether you want to use iGoogle or Google Reader, but you can bypass this page by changing the "Google" application to use Google Reader directly.

Type "About:config" into the address bar at the top of the "Firefox" window and press "Enter."
