Instructions

  1. Cowboy Boot

    • 1

Place your rectangular cake on a clean, flat surface.

    • 2

Trace the outline of a cowboy boot onto the rectangular cake using the tip of your serrated knife. When you are satisfied with the design of the cake, trim away the excess cake using the serrated knife. The serrated knife will help avoid making the cake crumble when you cut it.

    • 3

Frost the cake with brown icing.

    • 4

Use candies to create a design onto the cake so that it looks like a cowboy boot that features beading or rhinestones. For example, use brightly colored candy-coated chocolate candies to make a pattern onto the boot.

    Sheriff's Badge

    • 5

Use a star-shaped pan to create your sheriff's badge cake. Mix your cake batter and pour it into the cake pan.

    • 6

Bake your star-shaped cake for the amount of time indicated on your recipe. Allow the cake to cool completely before moving forward with the cake design.

    • 7

Frost the cake using tan frosting.

    • 8

Sprinkle gold sugar all over the cake so that it looks shiny and metallic.

    • 9

Place black frosting inside a pastry bag. Pipe "Sheriff," in front of the recipient's name, onto the cake.
