How to Skip Vault 101 in "Fallout 3"
"Fallout 3" is a computer game where players take on the role of a 19-year-old resident of Vault 101 in post-apocalyptic Washington D.C. At the start of every game, you begin in Vault 101 and must play through it to familiarize yourself with the controls. However, this becomes tedious for experienced players, so they may want to skip it in future games. This is possible, provided you make a certain save before venturing out into the world.

Start a new game of "Fallout 3."

Play through the tutorial in Vault 101 as normal until you reach the Vault door.

Pause the game and select "Save Game." Create a new save and do not ever overwrite it in subsequent gameplay.

Select "Load Game" on a subsequent playthrough instead of "New Game." Select the save file created just before the end of the tutorial.

Open the Vault door. Before it actually opens, you are given the option to change your character's looks, name and skills.
