How to Redownload Apps From the App Store

When you use iTunes or purchase an Apple media device, not only are you acquiring the ability to organize your music, you are also getting access to Apple's App Store. The App Store features a multitude of applications for your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch that can do everything from provide restaurant reviews to display content from popular magazines. When you purchase an app in the App Store on your computer, it downloads to your machine and then syncs to your mobile device. You can also access the App Store on your mobile device to download apps directly. Whichever method you use, you don't want to lose an app you paid good money for. Thankfully, Apple provides an easy solution: By clicking on an app you have already purchased, you can download it again for free if it is no longer on your machine.

      Open iTunes and click on the "App Store" option. If using an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, tap the "App Store" icon on your device.

      Locate the app you wish to download again by typing its name in the "Search Store" field in the top-right corner of iTunes.

      Click or tap "Buy App."

      Click or tap "Buy" in the dialog window that appears. A window opens to notify you that you have already purchased the app, and it will be downloaded again.

      Click or tap "OK" to redownload the app.
