How to Find & Rename All the Photos on My Hard Drive
Digital photos may be stored in many folders on a computer. In a modern operating system, these files will appear in a search. Once the search has found all the files, they may be renamed.

Click the "Start" button. Click "Computer." If you have more than one hard drive available, double-click on the drive you want to search.

Type ".jpg" in the "Search" box in the upper right corner of the window. The search will look for all image files that end in this extension.

Press "Enter."

Select a photo that you want to rename. Press "F2." Type in a new name and press "Enter" to save it. Repeat for each photo you want to rename.

Tips & Warnings
Search for different photo file formats. Repeat the above process, but change the ".jpg" to a different photo file type. Other image file types are ".bmp," ".gif," "jpeg," ".tif," and ".png."
