How to Submit Articles to Technorati

Technorati, an online search engine for blogs, was founded by Dave Sifry in 2002. If you have a blog, or if you are thinking about creating one as a way of submitting your articles online, Technorati is a way to advertise this. As an Internet search engine with millions of blogs in its database, indexing with Technorati will increase your articles' exposure and boost traffic.

      Register with Technorati for free. Click the "Join" link at the top right corner of the main site. Fill out the form with your personal details and click "Submit." Technorati will send you an email with a link necessary to validate your account.

      Edit your account details. Include your biography and upload your profile photograph, so that readers and fellow bloggers can learn about you.

      Claim your blog. Enter the URL of the blog you want to "claim" in the box at the bottom of the page where you filled out your profile. You will find this box under "My Claimed Blogs." After you have done this, click "Claim." You will then be taken to the "Claim a New Blog" page. Find the details section on this page and fill out the relevant information regarding your blog. Make this a clear, interesting and easy description of what your articles are about.

      Fill in the tags and RSS feed. Add the relevant tags related to your article content in the given box. You will also be required to fill in your RSS feed URL. You must have an RSS feed for your blog in order to submit your articles to Technorati.

      Receive an email verifying your account and issuing you a claim token. Go onto your account and click on "Check Claim," located at the bottom of the page. You will then receive an email confirming that Technorati has successfully searched your blog and found your claim token.

      Submit your articles. With your blog indexed in Technorati, you can gain exposure and traffic from your writing.
