How to Clear Dark Toe Nails
Dark or discolored toe nails can be the result of multiple issues. Whether through an injury or medical condition such as a fungal infection, there are methods you can try to clear your toe nails and put your best foot forward. Does this Spark an idea?

Fill your foot bath with warm water. Add a cup of vinegar to the water and mix the solution well.

Soak your feet for 20 to 30 minutes. This allows the solution to saturate your feet and work to eradicate any fungal infection that could be responsible for dark toe nails.

Gently pat dry each foot with a towel. Soak a cotton ball in tea tree oil and rub it on each dark toe nail. Tea tree oil can also assist in treating a fungal infection in your toes.

Trim your toe nails with a nail clipper. The better foot hygiene you practice, the less of a chance you have in developing a fungal infection.

Tips & Warnings
Wear properly fitting socks and shoes so that your feet can "breathe" well.
Sudden discoloration can often indicate an injury to the toe where it is bruised underneath the nail. If you are experiencing pain with the discoloration, seek medical assistance.
If the color of your toe nails does not lighten after a week of foot baths, see a doctor for additional treatment.
