Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the power on the PT-1010.

    • 2

Turn the unit over and press the grooved tab at the top of the rear cover to open the cover.

    • 3

Remove the used tape cartridge by pulling it straight up and out of the printer.

    • 4

Take up any slack in the ink ribbon inside the new cassette by turning the toothed wheel on the cassette in the direction of the arrow printed on the cassette.

    • 5

Verify that the end of the new tape protrudes from the cassette and is properly threaded through the tape guides.

    • 6

Snap the new cassette in place into the back of the printer, engaging the cassette with the printer's splined drive stem.

    • 7

Close the back cover and make sure it snaps shut.

    • 8

Feed the tape until it emerges from the tape exit slot by pressing the "Function" key and a left or right arrow. Push the tape cutter lever on the upper right corner of the printer to cut the tape.
